Ringing before the funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
The bells were rung fully-muffled with the tenor open at backstroke.
What do they do?
Ring for church services and other events at All Saints. As part of the Durham and Newcastle Diocesan Association of Church Bell Ringers, they also visit other towers, take part in District events and competitions, social occasions, and so on. Once you have learnt to ring, there is a huge network that you can tap in to.
Ringing practices are 7.30-8.30pm on Mondays (the time has been reduced since our return to ringing but we're steadily increasing it). Visitors who can ring are welcome.
Ringing for services 9.00-9.30am and 6.00-6.30pm on Sundays, as well as for other services and events as requested.

How much does it cost?
Nothing - once competent, you even get paid for ringing at weddings!
